Times Square, NYC

This is one of my favorite photos I took on a trip to New York City. Times Square always looks amazing all lit up like this at night, and this photo came out better than some of my other shots.
I used the night setting on my digital camera, which keeps the shutter open longer to capture the available light. But it means you have to hold the camera steady for a longer period, and sometimes just a slight movement will cause the picture to be a bit blurry. Guess I must have had a steadier hand when I took this shot. LOL

Hot Dog! It's the Weinermobile!
The Oscar Mayer Weinermobile was sighted
recently (August 7th) in downtown Albany, NY.
The previous post (below) is a video of some of the rain and street flooding.

Parked safely away from the flooded areas.
Oh darn it !
Now I'm hungry for hot dogs after seeing this photos !
(Luckily I have some in the fridge.)

(Hey! That kid Freddy, who doesn't want to be an Oscar Mayer weiner in the ad, looks a bit like me, when I was a kid.)

QEII News Flash:
Heavy rain caused a bit of flooding on South Pearl Street in Albany, NY today (near the Capital Repertory Theatre), causing a woman at this bus stop to flee for her life, or at least to avoid wet feet! You'll hear her voice in the video.
Awww...isn't that sweet...yesterday I went to visit the ocean (see Boston Whale Watch post) and
today it followed me home. It must have missed me!
